Our approach is not just about creating beautiful bags; it's about preserving memories and reducing waste in a stylish and eco-conscious way.
Do you have an existing bag that you would like transformed into something new?
The Process
We will take your bag and turn it into one of the bag shapes selected.
If you do not see a bag shape that you would like in the selection below but find one in our Shop or Archive please contact us.
Each bag shape has an base/minimum cost associated with it.
Only minor adjustments can be made (ex. slight size variation, hardware details, etc.) but may incur additional fees.
Any additional hardware or fabric that does not come from your own bag will incur additional fees.
A non-refundable $125 fee is required to establish the order and setup the initial meeting with the bag maker. This fee will be applied to the total cost of your bag.
You must be able to meet with the bag maker in Downtown Honolulu during a weekday to discuss your project and hand over your bag (parking will be validated). If you would like to mail your bag and work with the bag maker remotely, please reach out to us via our contact form or email at info@madeinmanoa.com(you must be able to cover the cost of mailing your bag/materials over to us).
After the meeting the bag maker will provide you with an agreement that you must sign before the project is started. The agreement will contain:
notes detailing the build
a quote for the total of your project
a general timeframe for completion
Minor cleaning of your bag may be performed (if necessary). If significant cleaning is required, additional fees will be applied. The bag maker would contact you before performing any such effort.
You must be able to meet with the bag maker in Downtown Honolulu during a weekday to receive your completed bag (parking will be validated). If you are working with the bag maker remotely, your must be able to cover the cost of mailing the item back to you).
Total amount is due when you receive your bag (or prior to receiving your bag if you are working with the bag maker remotely).
Accepted Payment methods: Credit Card, Venmo, Paypal, Cash.
